Sorry for Spain

Today the Spanish police has committed in Catalonia what can only be described as barbarism.

Beware of the videos, they may hurt your feelings.

They have hit people on the street and fought catalan police over it https://twitter.com/jaumeclotet/status/914484855450333184
They have hit people sitting on stairs https://twitter.com/LaVanguardia/status/914447807754448896
They have hit old ladies https://twitter.com/asiercorc/status/914395993193504768
They have hit people standing on the street https://twitter.com/julia_otero/status/914466508570595329
Did i mention they hit people on the street? https://twitter.com/isaacfcorrales/status/914508531654676480
They also hit someone that was already injured and walking away https://twitter.com/Ulldebou1/status/914497525033390080
They have broken (on purpose) all the fingers of a woman that was already on the floor https://twitter.com/hectorjuanatey/status/914538706299707392
They have hit some more people https://twitter.com/QuicoSalles/status/914504909508218880
They have hit firefighters https://twitter.com/Jorfs_/status/914482953954177024

Currently we're officially speaking of more than 800 injured people https://twitter.com/emergenciescat/status/914584719060275200 but i wouldn't be surprised if the count was much higher.

Meanwhile a dude voting wrapped in a spanish+bull flag gets a round of clapping https://twitter.com/JoseJPriego/status/914485977158209536

And I'm saying sorry for Spain, because it's obvious that after today Catalonia will leave Spain, sooner or later but it's going to happen, but the rest of Spain will have to live with these beasts ingrained in their police and politics.

Sorry and good luck.

  1. Natural consequence of Power. It's too easy to take it as absolute and 'over'. A true Government will ingrain in its minions that their 'power is 'power for'. Spain take note! For every action there is a reaction - Newton, long ago.

  3. Albert as a KDE user I apreciate you. But I think your post its a bit unfair, you are only showing one side of the coin, and making the job to the independetist propaganda.
The police was acting by a Catalan judge order. They were trying to accomplysh the law.
The Catalan autonomic police should close the voting centers in the first place as they said they will do, they didn´t do it, and then ask help to the rest of the police, when people was already in the centers. A very irresponsable and malicius action by local authorities.
The people was obstructing the police labour to close the centers, they were trying to avoid the police labour. So police had to act, sadly. ¿What have to do the police? ¿Had the police to let people skip the law?
People that are for the independence are trying to show to the world that this was an indiscriminated action to the people. And its no the case.
There are videos where some people attack the police too.
Puigdemont gobern has skip the law and all the legal mark. He and his gobern are the first responsible. He was looking for this situation, He want to take profit from this.
In my opinion, the injured people data are very inflated, i dont know, maybe i am wrong. But how can i be confident of an autonimic gobern data if this same gobern is skipping the law and acting in a dishonest way?

    All this its very sad.

    Saludos!

  5. Why does this appear in planet.kde.org?
There must have been a mistake!
    Huge mistake!

  6. I appreciated that you posted this on Planet KDE, otherwise I wouldn't see it.

And I think that what happened should be condemned independently from the political side (remain/leave). I had no idea of the reasons of the referendum since I don't live in Spain but I hoped Catalonia will remain. After police attacks I started to hope Catalonia will leave and live in peace.

Veo que eres parte de los bárbaros que considera adecuado pegarle a ciudadanos que resisten pacíficamente. Se que tu crees ser una buena persona, pero siento comunicarte que no lo eres.

    No, you don't

    > But I think your post its a bit unfair, you are only showing one side of the coin, and making the job to the independetist propaganda.

No it's not unfair, i'm showing videos of what has happened.

    > The police was acting by a Catalan judge order. They were trying to accomplysh the law.

You don't kill someone that has stolen candy, right? The same way you don't bodily harm people that are sitting on the stairs even if they are committing a crime, what you do is write up their names and put them on a trial.

    > The Catalan autonomic police should close the voting centers in the first place as they said they will do, they didn´t do it, and then ask help to the rest of the police, when people was already in the centers. A very irresponsable and malicius action by local authorities.

There's no answer for this, you are basically justyfing again the "it was illegal so they had to be beaten up", which is silly.

    > The people was obstructing the police labour to close the centers, they were trying to avoid the police labour. So police had to act, sadly. ¿What have to do the police? ¿Had the police to let people skip the law?

Yes, they did, the law doesn't give you the right to do whatever the fuck you want to someone that is breaking it.

    > People that are for the independence are trying to show to the world that this was an indiscriminated action to the people. And its no the case.

It was completely random, all kinds of people in all kinds of pacific resistant where attacked by Spanish police.

    > There are videos where some people attack the police too.

People keep saying that, i haven't seen a single one. On the other hand i've seen hundreds of cops beating up peaceful civilians.

    > Puigdemont gobern has skip the law and all the legal mark. He and his gobern are the first responsible.

No, he isn't, he didn't give the order to hit people.

    > He was looking for this situation, He want to take profit from this.

Yes, I'm sure everyone wanted to be beated up by the cops, sorry but you live in a delusional world.

    > In my opinion, the injured people data are very inflated, i dont know, maybe i am wrong. But how can i be confident of an autonimic gobern data if this same gobern is skipping the law and acting in a dishonest way?

Yes, the numbers are fake, that's all what you can say, who cares if the numbers are fake, it's ok if it's 100 civilians hit by the Spanish police instead of 800? You're a joke.

    > All this its very sad.

Yes, you think you're being equidistant and understanding, but you're just a bad person justifying the beating up of civil person, sorry about you, maybe one day you'll come to the realization that you were wrong, i'll accept your apology

  11. And that said, i'll delete further idiotic comments in this thread, you've already shown how much better Catalonia will be without having to deal with people like you.

  12. Of course what the Guardia Civil did is really bad.
What I don't understand is how did we get there. Why do some people want an independent Catalonia so badly?

As far as I can see, Catalans are not oppressed. They can speak their own language, they have their own laws, their own judges and their own police. Is it for economic reasons?

    ReplyDelete
  13. There are many reasons and everyone have their owns. For me the main reason is sovereignty. The spanish Constitutional Court banned many laws approved by the Catalan parliament.

You think there are no reasons but your opinion isn't more important than the opinion of milions
