Dead monitor
My Benq FP937s+ just died today while my mother was using the computer. The screen has gone black and won't come back, not even the OSD :-( The monitor is less than two years old, so hopefully it's still in guarantee, wish me luck...

Did you figure out why? It just happened to me also, 2 weeks ago. Exactly the same BenQ just went black. Nothing helps. I had only a one year warranty :/ pls answer to my address: evolved@bluebottle.com if you have similar cases or you know the answer to the problem, thanks /L
Backlight dies (shine a flashlight on the screen when it's on and you should be able to see the picture is actually there).
Google around a bit, it's a fuse and a certain transistor in the flyback circuit which needs replacement; parts are cheap if you can find them (and are out of warrantee).
