What about advanced printing options? I know it's not directly related to the Okular, but in the Okular the issue is the most annoying... Any information about that?

Printing needs some work, but after years of users being overly aggressive (not you, but many others) and unkind over how printing was not up to par, i have decided that I'm not interested at looking at printing issues in my spare time unless it's me that is suffering from the problem, and so far it works for me.

First of all: thank you for the ongoing work on Okular and poppler!
I use okular on a daily bases and really depend on it.

Regarding printing:
Yeah, unfortunately printing has always been a mixed bag in KDE. SW-developers (apparently) don't print themselves a lot, so there is no personal itch to fix (like albert just pointed out).

However I believe the latest regressions stem from deprecating the KDE-based print dialog with the native Qt one, IIRC?

Which is even more unfortunate IMHO, because printing in Qt doesn't get (again) a lot attention maybe even less...
Last, I had some discussion with John Layt in the qt bugtracker about this in Qt4 times. He himself was very helpful and wanted to fix thing for Qt5. But I felt he was like the only one who cared about printing in qt and it wasn't even his main-task (none had this as a maintask).

How do I install Okular 1.1 on Ubuntu 16.04? I'm on a tablet and would really appreciate the multi touch support
